Indie 8ish-bit exploration into spider land. There isn’t much I don’t love about this game.

Simple and classic. Gorgeous artwork, involving audio atmosphere, cute story, and an enjoyable learning curve. I’ve been sucked in

It’s not a complex game.  Point and click.  One of those ones where you want to screw up to see the death animations.  It works great, it just uses the mouse and what more do you need? However, the game doesn’t feel 100% finished yet. There are some animation glitches, full screen still doesn’t work, and pixel hunting for fairies sucks, but these are some picky complaints.

Clearly I’m a little biased, but that’s because I’ve enjoyed playing the game. There are many similar games to this in Steamland, and I enjoy most of them. So take this praise with a grain of salt if you are getting sick of these types of games.

Motte Island is alright, but there’s a pretty big

behind my recommendation for this game. It is fun. It has some memorable moments. It has a pretty good atmosphere. But I don’t think I’m going to finish this game. 

There are two peevs that I’ve come across in my hour of playing.  1: Enemies respawn when you leave the screen, but weapons don’t. 2: There seem to be some bugs going around. No, not the monsters. I stopped playing because my instruction was to find a phone in the police station and I checked every phone but no further instruction ever came up. I get it, they don’t work. I knew that before I checked them, but what am I supposed to do now? I’ve had They Breathe for a number of years and still love it. Simple concept done perfectly. Only takes about 30 min to play, but it’s fun playing again and again. Great game.
